African Studies Outreach Programs seeks to support fair and accurate reporting on Africa and African issues in the global media. We take a multi-prong approach to these efforts. We work with media outlets to provide referrals and secure sources. We have provided workshops for journalists and media specialist to outline approaches and strategies for covering Africa.
We provide speakers who are knowledgeable about particular regions and issues relevant to the African continent. We also seek to support initiatives amongst faculty and students who are producing and engaging multiple media.
