Working with the International Engagement, Communications and Protocol Office, we have supported educational programs and lectures at local retirement communities. We have also worked with the University of Illinois' Elderhostel Office to support their programs on International Issues, offered biannually. Our faculty have given presentations on many issues, such as addressing development and aid in Africa, African textiles and arts, HIV/AIDs in Africa, and other topics.
We are collaborating with other area studies programs at the University of Illinois to offer educational programming on world religions through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).
