LECTURES AND SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS

The Center for African Studies regularly supports special lectures and events at the University of Illinois. These lectures may be part of a regular series or stand alone events. These special lectures have celebrated faculty publications, emerging and new interdisciplinary research in African studies, and visitors from other area campuses.

CAS/MillerComm Lectures

This campus-wide public lecture series on interdisciplinary topics is organized by the Center for Advanced Study (CAS) and the George A. Miller Committee. The Center for African Studies sponsores many of these talks. On our site here we maintain a list of all the lectures, going back to Fall 1995, that we have sponsored. These talks are all on topics related to African Studies.

Below is a summary of upcoming special presentations. CAS/MillerComm lectures are also included below; for more information on past and future lectures sponsored by the Center for African Studies please go to our CAS/MillerComm Lectures page.
